RHIANNON’S PLACE A Ministry to reach pregnant teens and young single mothers and fathers with resources for immediate needs.
God the Father:
As a result of pregnancy out of wedlock and single parent issues many women and men have come to know the depth of despair as their constant companion. Many have felt not only the physical absence of a loving father or mother but have also felt abandoned by God as well. Pain, fear, isolation, abandonment, and ultimately hopelessness are typical feelings single parents and children can feel. The depth of the pain and despair can be so intense and very painful and those in these desperate situations don’t know where to go to reach out for help and assistance. Unfortunately they even feel rejection and abandonment by close family members, friends and at times even by faith communities. “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for well being and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope.’” Jeremiah 29:11
God the Son:
Rhiannon’s Place is a Christ centered ministry with hopes of sharing the gospel message of salvation, redemption and reconciliation to those we come in contact with. Rhiannon’s Place is a ministry which hopes to extend Christ’s love, compassion, and unconditional love to those we minister to. Teen pregnancy out of wedlock inevitably causes shattered relationships with family, friends, and ultimately with God. In Jesus Christ we discover the ability to transform and change our life and ultimately be restored to a loving relationship with our Father through His Son Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16.
God the Holy Spirit:
Rhiannon’s Place was inspired by God the Holy Spirit to support, encourage and minister to those in crisis and need. As Christians we believe that God works through us to reach others with the message of the Gospel. It is the presence of the Holy Spirit that empowers us as Christians to serve others in ministry. The Holy Spirit is the presence of Almighty God within us is the source of all grace and possibility. “I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.” Phil. 4:13
Purpose of Rhiannon’s Place
Rhiannon’s Place is a ministry to assist to the “immediate needs” of those in crisis and to offer hope in times of despair to expectant mothers and single parents. Baby and pregnancy items such as cribs, formula, diapers, car seats, food, and clothing will be available. In addition there will be limited resources for medical or dental assistance, along with some financial resources for utilities and emergencies.

"My Love in the Mirrow" was written about a woman who came upon a homeless woman and her child who where abandoned by a man in Florida. The woman and child were "put out" on the streets with nothing. The poem is based on a true story of the woman who was rescued after spending several nights on a park bench with her child. A total stranger happened on her and talked to her about her situation. Without hesitation the woman took them both to her home and provided for them. The young girl was broken in spirit at the time and what the other woman did for her by taking her in had changed her life and her daughters life as well. Eventually she was able to become independent and find a job, get on her own feet, get her own place to live, and get her daughter in school. Down the road she was promoted in her work and her life was transformed. This poem is written from her perspective as she looked at herself, then and now (at the time of the poem)...it was simply an act of giving that resulted in a reward...biblically, it would be much like Christ giving and then rewarding, taking despairity and sorrow, hardships and pain, and transforming it and redeeming our lives.
